James Bond 40th Anniversary Update
Many have been asking about the packaging of our "James Bond 40th
Anniversary Trading Cards" which come in a 20-pack box, versus our usual
40-pack-box. We want to emphasize that collectors will still get the
very same number of bonus cards from each box despite the fewer number
of packs. There are still 2 autographs per box, regardless of the
number of packs, as well as all of the other great bonus cards. There
will also still be one base set of cards guaranteed in each box.
The key difference here is that we wanted to be able to create a base
set of cards that was of superior quality to our usual base-set
printing. These James Bond cards will be printed thicker paper, with a
special "liquid foil" treatment and more foil stamping, too. Based on
feedback from numerous dealers and collectors, we felt it would be more
appealing to have a stronger looking base set, so we have put more money
into making the base set so nice. In order to do this, however, we had
to cut the number of cards printed. In the end, the base sets will look
incredible, much nicer than the usual base sets, and they will be much
more collectable, and more likely to have stronger secondary market
value.
