I loved the Krofft shows when I was a kid. Pufnstuf, Bugaloos and ElctraWoman. I'd love this set if they could do it.

I've always wondered why one of the card manufacturers never put out a series of cards based on the shows of Sid & Marty Krofft. When I grew up, their shows practically ruled Saturday mornings along with Hanna/Barbera. Look at the Krofft shows from which a set could be made:

HR Pufnstuf Bugaloos Lidsville Sigmund & Sea Monsters Land of the Lost Lost Saucer Far Out Space Nuts Krofft Supershow Electra Woman & DG Dr. Shrinker Wonderbug Krofft Superstar Hour The Bay City Rollers Bigfoot & Wildboy Magic Mongo Horror Hotel Lost Island

And if you're interested in autograph cards, just look at the possibilities when it comes to people signing:

H. R. Pufnstuf Jack Wild (Jimmy) Billie Hayes (Witchiepoo) Roberto Gamonet (H.R. Pufnstuf) Lenny Weinrib (H.R. Pufnstuf voice) Joan Gerber (Freddie the Flute)

Bugaloos John McIndoe (I.Q.) John Philpott (Courage)

Lidsville Butch Patrick (Mark) Charles Nelson Reilly (Hoo Doo) Weenie the Genie (Billie Hayes)

Sigmund & the Sea Monster Johnny Whitaker (Johnny Stuart) Rip Taylor (Sheldon the Sea Genie)

Land of the Lost Spencer Milligan (Rick Marshall) Wesley Eure (Will Marshall) Kathy Coleman (Holly Marshall) Ron Harper (Uncle Jack)

The Lost Saucer Ruth Buzzi (Fi) Jim Nabors (Fum)

Far Out Space Nuts Bob Denver (Junior)

Electra Woman and DynaGirl Deidre Hall (Laurie/Electra Woman) Judy Strangis (Judy/Dyna Girl)

Krofft Super Show Bay City Rollers

And don't forget Sid & Marty Krofft themselves!

It just amazes me that this set has never happened. So, if a certain card company wants to make a KAZILLION dollars by taking us Baby Boomers down Memory Lane....hint...hint...hint...

I have no idea what the "Sid and Marty Krofft show" was, so have no interest personally, but i do know that i'll always be buying the "tried and true" cards from the Stargate licence - and that's all. If RA can find a market for the proposed licence then good luck to them, otherwise i completely understand them sticking to what they know works.

I hope that is not the case because I will not buy more Bond, Xena or Stargate cards. I understand tha it is hard to get shows t do sets for and the rising cost of Auto cards can't help.

I would think RA is reluctant to pursue new licenses after The Munsters debacle. The new release list looks like they are trying to strain as much material from the tried and true licenses that they already have. So I don't think we will be seeing any new licensed product outside of what they already haveanytime soon. Although I could be wrong. We'll see.

I thought about a "Worlds Of Sid & Marty Krofft" set back when the Irwin Allen set came out, and it never got a reponse. I think it would be great. Land of the Lost, Dynagirl, Far out Space Nuts, most of these shows were only 13 episiode long and could be transfered into cards very easily. Auto's of Butch Patirck, Bob Denver, and others would be super.
